Students walking together in downtown Milwaukee

UWM is proud to call Milwaukee our hometown. We want all our students, faculty and staff to feel a similar sense of pride from living, learning and working in Wisconsin’s most vibrant city.

A strong network of campus and community resources support all members of the UWM community, making their health and safety a top priority. Students, faculty and staff are introduced to these health and safety resources through campus programs, events and communication tools.

In an emergency, please call the UWM Police Department at 9911 on a campus phone or (414) 229-9911 on a cellphone or off-campus phone. 911 may be used from off-campus locations or from your cellphone to reach City of Milwaukee police, fire and ambulance services.
